Meet Ms. BackGreetings! My name is Keli Back. It’s hard to believe, but this is the beginning of my 17th year working as an elementary school teacher. I love being a teacher and each year I am thrilled to meet my new class.
I am a true blue Kentucky girl with roots in Appalachia. Most of my family lives in Breathitt County where I spent the beginning of my childhood as a Bobcat. However, I moved to Corbin during elementary school and graduated high school as a Redhound. After that, I became a Wildcat at the University of Kentucky and earned both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I’ve been living in Versailles for most of my adult life and plan on raising my little Yellowjackets here. My other job is being Mommy to 3 little girls who also attend Southside. My oldest daughter, Greta, will begin 4th grade this year and my twin daughters, Eden and Talia, will begin Kindergarten. I am also a proud cat mom as we have 5 furry felines at home…Edgar, Oliver, Isaac, Toulouse, and Tom Brady. Now you know why I decided to call our class the "Cool Cats!"
